An Abridged Story

After I graduated Reeths-Puffer High School. . .
. . . my high school sweetheart, Lisa, and I decided to continue dating even after I left for. . .
. . . Michigan State University where I majored in chemistry and played the trombone in the Spartan Marching Band and then. . .
. . . I married my high school sweetheart, Lisa, after I graduated from MSU, but. . .
. . . I realized I didn't want to work in a laboratory but still needed money so I sold insurance with my buddy Jeff, but. . .
. . . I realized that teaching gave me more joy than selling insurance so I. . .
. . . went back to Michigan State University to get my teaching certificate and we also found time to do fun things like watch the Harlem Globetrotters and then. . .
. . .I was hired by the same high school I graduated from allowing me to work with some of the teachers I had when I was a student and. . .
. . . I now teach chemistry and AP Chemistry at Reeths-Puffer High School and. . .
. . . I still find time to play trombone in a weird honky-tonk 1920s/1930s band named "Bearded Ladies Men" that includes my wife Lisa on clarinet, Adrian on guitar and vocals, and Chester on vocals and whatever instrument he makes out of cigar boxes, pie tins, or wash basins...
...and we recently had an addition to our family...
...named Noah, who can't do much right now, but we are very excited to see how he grows!
